ICE RED CARDS // ICE TARJETAS ROJAS
All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights and protections under the U.S. Constitution. The Immigration Legal Resource Center’s Red Cards help people assert their rights and defend themselves in many situations, such as when ICE agents go to a home. At the Sentry, we want to acknowledge the injustice in our communities and arm immigrants against potential threats to their livelihoods. Learn more here.

Todos las personas en Estados Unidos, independientemente del estado migratorio, tiene cierto derechos y proteccion bajo la constitucion de los Estados Unidos. El Centro de Recursos Legales de Immigracion Tarjetas Rojas los pueden ayudar a que hagan valer sus derechos y defenderse en muchas situaciones, como cuando los agentes de ICE traten de entrar a su casa. En The Sentry, queremos reconocer la injusticia en nuestro comunidades y armar los immigrantes contra las posibles amenazas a sus medios de vida. Mas informacion aqui.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

You have constitutional rights:
• DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR if an immigration agent is knocking on the door.
• DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS from an immigration agent if they try to talk to you. You have the right to remain silent.
• DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING without first speaking to a lawyer. You have the right to speak with a lawyer.
• If you are outside of your home, ask the agent if you are free to leave and if they say yes, leave calmly.

STATEMENT:
I do not wish to speak with you, answer your questions, or sign or hand you any documents based on my 5th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution.
I do not give you permission to enter my home based on my 4th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution unless you have a warrant to enter, signed by a judge or magistrate with my name on it that you slide under the door.
I do not give you permission to search any of my belongings based on my 4th Amendment rights.
I choose to exercise my constitutional rights.

• NO ABRA LA PUERTA si un agente de inmigración está tocando la puerta.
• NO CONTESTE NINGUNA PREGUNTA de un agente de inmigración si trata de hablar con usted. Usted tiene el derecho de mantenerse callado.
• NO FIRME NADA sin antes hablar con un abogado. Usted tiene el derecho de hablar con un abogado.
• Si usted se encuentra afuera de su hogar, pregunte al agente si es libre para marcharse y si dice que sí, váyase con tranquilidad.

DECLARACIÓN:
No deseo hablar con usted, responder a sus preguntas ni firmar ni entregarle ningún documento en base a mis derechos de la Quinta Enmienda bajo la Constitución de los Estados Unidos.
No le doy autorización para entrar a mi hogar en base a mis derechos de la Cuarta Enmienda bajo la Constitución de los Estados Unidos a menos que tenga una orden de entrada firmada por un juez o magistrado con mi nombre en ella que deslice por debajo de la puerta.
No le doy autorización para registrar ninguna de mis pertenencias en base a mis derechos de la Cuarta Enmienda.
Elijo ejercer mis derechos constitucionales.
